Isle of Jura
The Isle of Jura gets its name from the Norse Dyr Ay meaning
Deer Island. It is well named - with approximately 6500 deer still living
on the island. The human population is only about 200 on an island 29
miles long and up to 7 miles wide.
The island is famed for its abundant wildlife and its rugged
scenic beauty.
